When you are feeling the excruciating pain, then you have to consider using the heating pads.

Heating pads are used to put some heat on the injured part. Putting heat in the affected area is an effective way to reduce the pain. The heat serves as the blocking component for pain signals. Our body, when it feels some pain, it orders the nerves to send some pain signals into our brain and the moment the pain signals reaches the brain, the brain will process it and then, it will make you feel pain then. Applying heat however will let you blocked the pain signals. Unknown to us, the pain signals is the last signal that our brain acknowledges so whenever you put another signal such as heat signals, the brain will process it heat signal first. Apparently, our brain does not process two signals at one time so therefore, you are sending the pain signals unnoticed to the brain.

There are many types of heating pads available in the market today. There are electric heating pads that when you plugged in into the wall socket, it will turn up and begin to warm up. MICROWAVE HEATING PAD

These microwave heat pack are pads that are filled with grains or seeds. The common fillers used are dried rice, corn and wheat. The moment they are put in the microwave and get warmed, these pads become flexible, moldable and a cordless heating pad that you can use every time you feel some body pain. Microwave heating pads are usually square or rectangular in shape. There are many shapes though available but the most favored one is the long and rectangle shape. Any size is allowed just as long as its fits into your microwave and it can rotate freely. This type of heating pads is used even before the invention of microwaves. Few years back, people warmed themselves in slow ovens and they were often used as bed warmers before. Most of the time, people refer this heating pads as herbal heating pad as it allows their body to get back into its normal state – pain free and healthy.

These heating pads provide heat therapy for effective chronic pain relief. When your muscles are in spasms, it compresses the blood vessels and therefore reduces their ability to bring in blood and nutrients which are necessary for healing the pain area. When you use the heating pads, the heat will cause the blood vessels to dilate and therefore providing the area with much needed blood for repair and long term pain relief. Also, when you have proper blood circulation in your body, your damage nerves will tend to heal much earlier than expected. The heat therapy also warms the muscles and tissues – causing them to relax and become more flexible. When you do this, it will help in reducing the pain and restoring the normal function and movement. And because of this, it will be easier for you to do some gentle stretches – this stretches will help you in the healing process.

Microwaveable heating pads are useful because they don’t require many things to do. You only have to own a microwave and you are on your way to using the heat pads. Many people favored the use of heating pads because they are non – addictive and do not put any of your body organs at risk which pain killers does. Over the counter medicines aren’t recommended by many doctors because though they promote instant relief, they will also make your body addictive to the medicines and the worst thing about it is that when you keep using the medicines, you are making your body get use to the drugs – the next time you feel pain, you will not get any relief unless you take in some drugs.

When you want to use the heating pads, you can either buy it in the market if you aren’t in for some adventure of making your own heating pads. You can also check heating pads online and order them online. But there are also people want to make their own heating pads. You can simply fill about two thirds of the sock with dried rice, corn or whatever you have on hand. Tie the end with a string or a rubber band and then you are ready to use your heating pads.
