Hip Problems and Causes

Your hips can handy at some time. When you are home from some grocery shopping and you came out from your car to get those bags, your hands are already loaded with grocery bags so the last thing you need it so put down those bags to closed the car’s door – this is where your hips help. You can sway it right under the car’s door and then it’s good. You can come to your door’s house and carry those grocery bags into your kitchen. However, when you have some hip problems like hip pain, more likely than not, you cannot use your hips for times like this. Having hip pain can really be a big problem for some situation. If you are constantly playing with your children when you are home, you can’t possibly do this when you are having hip problems. You resist playing games with them anymore which involved running and crawling around the floor because your hip hurts like hell.

One of the most important parts of your body is your hips – so when you have problems with that area, you might find it difficult to move around and it can affect your mobility. When you have hip pain, you are also like experiencing back pain or much worse. Back pain might not allow you to move and allows you to stay at bed for some resting but hip pain will let you stay in your bed until the pain subside because hips plays a major role in helping you to walk, move and run. Hip joints, the joints found in the hip area are one of the major joints of the human body. This is the joint where the pelvis bone meets your thigh bone. They are commonly known as the ball and the socket joint.

Most of the time, you get hip problems when you have encountered accidents, a bad fall or when you are running improperly. People might be quite conscious with avoiding hip pain but because there are really those instances where you are not in constant watch of your hips, hip problems really occurs. Here are some common hip pain causes:

  • Arthritis – this is the most common cause of hip pain. This condition is mostly experienced by middle aged people or older people. When you have arthritis, the severity of the pain will depend on the severity of the degeneration that your hips have. Younger people should not also be confident that they are not affected with this condition. It can also affect younger people – they are just too common within older people.
  • Groin Strain – when you strain a groin muscles, the stability of the hip joint can be affected. This will put strained on the inner side of the hip causing pain in the process.
  • Capsulities – this is a situation where it involves inflammation and tightness to the sac around your hips. Your movements can be affected when there is tightness in your hips. The moment that the capsule is not stressed and released, it can result in chronic pain in your buttock area.
  • Lower back – there are nerves in your lower back that are connected to the hip and when these are damaged or get inflamed, you may feel the pain around your hips. There is really some hip pain problem that is caused by lower back issues and does, you have to do treatment on the lower back area to get rid of hip pain.
  • Tendonitis – this can be found anywhere on the body sporting tendons so this does not limit this issues. When you feel hip pain, you might be having symptoms of tendonitis.
  • Fractures – as our body age, we are more prone to fractures because with aging comes the brittleness of our muscles and bone. Many adult people have hip problems because of a bad fall. The condition might be worst when the person is dealing with osteoporosis. For this people, there is no chance for them to make up the damage and get it repaired but to engage into broken surgery. However, you don’t have to worry though because when it comes to surgery, there are many different available options –it just depends on the fracture and the health of the patient.
  • Stress fractures – this is also common issues that cause hip pain. This type of fracture has nothing to with age and with the level of activity as well as the stressed you placed in your hip joint. Unfortunately, there are only limited options when it comes to relieving the pain. The only treatment you have to do is to rest the joint and avoid the high impact activity that caused fractured in the first place.
  • Sciatica – this is a complication that affects the sciatic nerve which is located in the back and then runs down the length of the leg. The moment that this nerves becomes jeopardized in any way, such as pinched, it may result in pain that can run from the back all the way to your legs.

When you are having some painful hip problems, you have to make sure that you have to discuss it with your doctor and seek a medical help. Your hip problem might be more than a stressed nerve or dislocated hip joints – you might end up getting a surgery for it so make sure that you are having the best diagnosis when you can.
