Back pain can be frustrating to people especially if it already affect their daily lives and movements such as instead of getting into the party you have been excited for the last few weeks, you end up putting away those party dress and go to bed early because you have to rest your aching back. Back pains are really irritating feeling and can bring you great discomfort. You have to stay all night because you have to perform dome treatment and this can be really disturbing. To people that are frustrated with back pains, they are quite desperate to get some back pain relief with hopes that the pain will go away. There are just many relief and treatments that they can do but they aren’t sure what treatment will work best for them. When a friend recommends you of a certain treatment, it doesn’t mean it will also work for you.

Most of the time, different treatments react effectively for different people. Some treatments aren’t advisable for you because it is not healthy for your body. Remember, you are treating your body and putting another problem such as using the improper treatment will only worsen the case – or else, will put you in situation where in, instead of getting away with the pain, you end up acquiring a new illness that might risk your health condition. Your body should be taken care of nicely or else, your body will get damage and you cannot enjoy your life. You only live once – might as well take the chance to enjoy every minute of it. Enjoy a life without pain and do the things that you can do and accomplish. Here are some known and effective lower back pain treatment and medication that you can use to relieve yourself from pain:

  • Use heat pads – it is been practiced a long time ago that applying heat over the pain area can cause the pain to disappear. The heat pads are used to put in the affected area and it will make the pain go away. When you apply heat, you are blocking the pain signals to reach your brain – only heat signals will reach your brain, ignoring the pain signals. Fortunately, our brain only acknowledge one signals at a time and because our brain less prioritize the pain signals, when you get some signals in the way like the HEAT signals, the pain signals will cease. The good thing with heating pads is that because it put heats to the pained area, it can make the damage nerves and cells in that area to get repaired and in the process, increase the blood circulation too.
  • Use TENS unit – abbreviation for Trancutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, Tens unit function by sending off electrical impulses into your nerves and blocking the pain signals at the same time. However, you have to take note though that when you are having some serious heart problems, you are not allowed to use TENS unit. Same thing with pregnant women, they are not advised to used TENS unit because the expert doesn’t actually know what electrical impulses can do to the unborn baby.
  • Exercise and Stretches – There are many things that exercises can do to your body – it doesn’t just make your body stronger but also make it flexible so you don’t have to worry about bone fracture and muscle strained. For people who really want to lead a healthy life and get rid of body pain, an exercise should be done. You should always find time to exercise.
  • Pain medication – people are used to taking over the counter pain medication. The good thing with pain killers is that they really are effective and reacts immediately causing you to feel pain free. However, you have to make sure that the medicines are not addictive as you might start to look for it if it is. Make sure too that they are proven pain killers so you won’t have to deal with frustrating side effects. The bad thing about over the counter medication is that your body might get used to it and in the process, every time the back pain attack, the pain will not subside when you don’t take some pain killers- as a result of this, your body organs, specifically, your kidney will suffer.
  • Behavior medication – some people might acquire their back pain due to wrong posture and long hours of sitting and standing. When you can implement change in this area, you might not suffer back pain frequently.
  • Get a physical therapist – when things are out of your control and no matter what treatments you use seem not to work, then it is time that you resort to get yourself a physical therapist. A physical therapist is the one that deal with body pains and know what has to be done to get rid of it. They are expert on dealing with muscles and bones.
  • Surgery – when all else fails, your last resort will be performing a surgery. This is only done when there are no choices left for you as surgical option is highly invasive and complicated in nature.

Lower back treatments and medication is what every people want to make them free from the back pain. It is not easy to deal with back pain whether it is occasionally or frequently. Most people does not want to get engage with back pain if they can ever hold it – if not, then they just have to deal with it through proper medication and treatment.
